1960 COMET SEDAN

Hi there, 

We are from Santa Rosa, California.  This is our 1960 Comet that we bought in October of last year.  The car was owned a very short time (3 months) by the person we bought it from.  He bought it from a car collector who had it in storage for decades.  Before August of 2006, we believe the car had not been driven since the 60’s.  The previous owner said it still had the original bias ply white wall tires.  He kept one as a spare and we have that.  Since the car had sat for so long it did get some new brakes and a tune up.  When we got it still had factory heater hoses.

This Comet has the 144 3 speed.  The car has 15K original miles.  It has been repainted and the bottom of the front seat was replaced otherwise the rest is original condition.  The car is originally from Michigan.  We have the original sales receipt, owner’s manual and some other miscellaneous paperwork.  It also came with the factory i.d tag and heater instruction tag. We bought fender skirts for the car and they are being painted and will make a nice addition.  The car is also being pinstriped by a friend.  We have named it Kat Kar.  The car runs and drives like new!  Hope it will make a nice addition to your Comet Page!

Dan---Your Comet has to be one of the lowest-mileage first year Comets on the planet.  I will keep an eye out for it on the streets of Santa Rosa, or at some local car shows.   AA---2/2007
