THE SONOMA COUNTY FALCONS FOR FUN
CHAPTER
1963 FORD FALCON XL
WAGON
John Houllis, Melbourne, Australia
"Hey Guys...Love your site,...here are a few pics I'd like to share with you of my Australian 63 Falcon XL . I'm the second owner of the car which is all Original... no after market parts on this pretty thing. "
John, that is one beautiful Wagon--very nice! I'm wondering if a 63 Australian grill is as coveted at the American variety.....From what I understand, it was determined early on that the American Falcon wagon had too long of a rear overhang that bottomed out on the roads and drains in Australia--it was shortened by 130 mm. I've also heard that the suspensions on Australian Falcon were upgraded in comparison to their American counterparts. The Australian roads were a bit rougher than ours here....not sure if that is still the case judging by some of the potholes I've seen here lately.
Thanks for sharing your wagon with us here at westcoastfalcons.com. I'm sure it will get many admiring looks here...as I'm sure it gets down under....AA
