THE SONOMA COUNTY FALCONS FOR FUN
CHAPTER
1962 FORD FALCON
SPORTS FUTURA
Gord Barnes---Stittsville, Canada
Hi---I live in a little town just outside of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada called Stittsville. I bought my Falcon from a gentleman in Orleans, Ontario three years ago. I did a complete resto over this period.
I pulled the 144cid engine and replaced it with a 302, C4, and 8" diff. I replaced the floor pans and had the body done and painted. I installed Mustang upper and lower control arms, Granada spindles and disc brake set-up. I also installed a 1989 Probe master cylinder and used Granada drum brakes on the rear.
The interior was Rangoon red, but I changed it to black. The buckets were redone and dyed. The back seat and all other parts are also black.
The rims are off of my old 74 dodge charger. They're a Magnum 500 wheel that was popular in the 70s, and they have the right offset for those rear wheel wells on the falcons. This is the fifth Falcon I have owned and I don't think it's my last. Needless to say, I,m hooked on those Birds.
Hope you like my

Gord---We like it VERY much. Thanks for sharing it with us. Those are some interesting tidbits regarding the wheels and master cylinder. Send us a shot of the engine compartment when you can. Thanks--AA--Sonoma County Falcons.
