THE SONOMA COUNTY
FALCONS FOR FUN CHAPTER
We saw old and new club members alike at this special gathering. The picnic was held at Doyle Park in Santa Rosa. The park is one of Santa Rosa's finest and was the perfect setting for a fun and relaxing time underneath the magnificent oak trees.
Upon arrival to the Picnic, Fr. John
O'Brien was there to greet and meet. Fr. O'Brien
and Br. Mark did a lot of upfront publicity and footwork to make the picnic success.
About 50 people and 20 Falcons attended the picnic. There were a few other old Fords and an Edsel to boot in the parking lot. Amazingly, the Utilities (wagons and rancheros) outnumbered the Falcon cars at the show. There were some cars that showed up that had not been seen by club members before.
Doyle Park---what a great place for a picnic!
Everybody had a good time.
Here's a photo of one side of the parking lot.
This was a day for old and new chapter members to get together. It was also a day to meet new Falcon friends. The chapter has developed quite a history over the past eleven years. It does not seem that long ago that the chapter had its beginnings at a potluck dinner held at the home of Bill and Nancy Johns. Bill and Nancy were honored with a lifetime chapter membership award at the picnic.

The picnic was a lot of fun! We may have to do this again next year. Below are some more photos from the picnic for your viewing pleasure.
