1964 Falcon Futura
The car was originally built in Kansas City. I bought it around August 2003. It was totally original with a 260 CID and 2-speed before I started tearing it apart. It now has a late model 302 CID engine and an AOD transmission. The Engine has been rebuilt with new crank & rods, Speed-Pro hypereutectic pistons, Sealed Power moly rings, Ford Racing windage tray, Melling High Volumn oil pump with ARP oil pump shaft, Milodon 8 quart oil pan, Edelbrock Performer RPM camshaft & lifters, Edelbrock double roller timing chain, Edelbrock AirGap manifold topped off with a Holley 770 CFM Street Avenger carb, the heads have stainless steal valves, Ford Racing full roller rocker arms, Edelbrock springs, Crane Energizer push rods, Milodon high flow water pump, Aluminum radiator, B & M Supercooler for the transmission and a Ford Racing oil cooler for the engine and ARP bolts through out. The brakes are all new with the Granada front disc swap and Explorer rear disc swap. The suspension consists of rebuilt front end with a G-Max 1-1/8 inch sway bar and lowered 2 inches. The rear end has new reverse eye leaf springs with a G-Max 3/4 inch sway bar and a Detroit Truetrac differential, Traction Master traction bars & KYB Gas-A-Just shocks at each wheel. Right now I have 15 inch steel wheels with Toyo Proxes 4 tires, but these wheels will soon carry Hoosier race tires. When I get American Racing Wheels for the street they will use the Toyo's. I'm making a fiberglass instrument panel insert to hold Autometer gauges and making new door & rear seat panels covered in simulated carbon fiber vinyl. There are APC race buckets with 5 way seat harnesses. Hopefully the car will get painted black with lime green flames.
